The Color of the Fire
Running time 1:45
Appears on MHTRTC

In an interview with Rene Passet, Boards of Canada explained that "the color of the fire" "was a reference to a friend's psychedelic experience." (Forcefield 1998)

The vocal sample in this track is believed to have been sampled from a Sesame Street vignette, in which a child sounds out the phrase "I love you" while attempting to write it out.

Segments of the track were used to promote the Nissan Primera "Statistics" advert directed by Chris Cunningham.
