Unconfirmed interviews

Revision as of 22:45, 16 June 2009 by Moebius (talk | contribs) (2002: Cookie Scene)

This page is used to keep track of unconfirmed/missing interviews that have not yet been tracked down. Once an article has been verified and located, it should be moved to the interviews page.

Japanese interviews

As part of the normal buzz of media activity surrounding each album release, a number of interviews have been published in various Japanese music magazines. Unfortunately, as there is no one in the English BoC fan community who lives in Japan or even speaks Japanese, these articles are very hard to track down.

Some useful terms:

Boards of Canada
ボーズ・オブ・カナダ

2002-03-25: Cookie Scene

Boards of Canada was on the cover Japanese magazine Cookie Scene vol. 24, sometime in 2002. The issue was offered on eBay on 16 Jun 2009 by seller jack-daniels-whiskey-johnnie-walker-whisky.

2006-07: rockin'on (Japan)

An article appeared in the Japanese magazine rockin'on (ロッキング・オン) sometime in 2006. Photograph pages from this interview were offered for sale on eBay in May 2009. The photos are of the brothers in the woods, from the same set of photographs used in a number of other interviews in the TCH era; in partial, one photo used is the same as the RE:UP interview cover.

Not be to confused with ROCKIN'ON JAPAN, from the same publisher

  • Verdict: Probably just a review.

Others

Despite being 'closer to home', some interviews in Westerns sources have managed to slip past the community's normally vigilant notice.
