* It is presumed that the name refers to the M9 motorway in Scotland.
* Possibly an abbreviation for "Method 9 Word Clearing"; see M1 through M9 in this glossary, especially M3 and M4. [DC]
* The version on early rips of Boc Maxima has an inexplicable fadein applied, however the natural intro of the track is restored unedited on the 2026 samamdj rip and CD leak, revealing a slight overlap with the outro of "Nlogax".

* At 0:59, what sounds like garbled speech can be heard until about 1:26. This is specific to the "Old Tunes Vol. 1" version and completely absent on "Boc Maxima".
* The version of the track on Boc Maxima has the drum beat to "Nlogax" faded in at the halfway mark, due to both tracks being crossfaded on that release.

Trivia
* The name Carcan probably refers to an iron ring of the same name used to effect punishment.

"Nlogax" is the third track on Hi Scores and the fifteenth track on Boc Maxima.

__TOC__

Comments
* The word "Nlogax" is thought to have been derived from the common mathematical expression n·logax = logaxn.

Samples / Lyrics
* Contains a sample of Indeep's 1983 hit "Last Night a D.J. Saved My Life".
* Uses an alternating normal/clipped sample of a cowbell from a Roland_CR-78 drum machine.
* The beat is used near the ending of "Carcan" in Maxima, because "Carcan" precedes "Nlogax" and segues into it.

Trivia
The following is taken from Forcefield Magazine, April 1998:
<blockquote>
"We sometimes make a tune metamorphose as it plays. An example is "Nlogax" from the Hi Scores EP on Skam, which begins like an old electro or disco track but halfway through it suddenly becomes something nightmarish, like your brain is starting to malfunction in the middle of the tune. Psychedelics make music sound entirely different. Tiny details become massive, a five-minute track can feel like it's five hours long on psychedelics. You know when you're on a ride at a fairground, the pitch of the music rises and falls because of the Doppler-Effect? That's another thing we love to do in our tracks, and it's a fairly psychedelic-sounding effect too."

Boc Maxima (release)

Limited to fifty copies, pressed on both cassette and CD formats, the tracks on Boc Maxima range from previously released material to songs which to this day have yet to see wide re-release. Many of the tracks featured on this release would later be chosen for the track listing of Music Has The Right To Children, though with some differences (notably on "One Very Important Thought".)

Trivia
* This release was broadcasted in full on France's Helter Skelter's radio programme in 2002.

* "Wildlife Analysis", "Boc Maxima", "Roygbiv", "Turquoise Hexagon Sun" and a re-recorded "One Very Important Thought" later appeared on Music Has the Right to Children. "Everything You Do Is A Balloon", "June 9th", "Nlogax" and "Turquoise Hexagon Sun" also appear on Hi Scores. "Rodox Video", "Nova Scotia Robots", "Skimming Stones", "Carcan", "M9" and "Original Nlogax" appeared on A Few Old Tunes (albeit in slightly different forms). A longer version of "Chinook" appears on the Aquarius single.

* At 5:17, the version of "Sixtyniner" that appears is shorter than the version on the original Twoism release. However, when Twoism was publicly released in 2002, this 5:17 version was used instead.

* "Niagara", "Red Moss", "Concourse" and "Whitewater" are exclusive to this release.
