* The vocal samples were likely processed by reversing the source audio, applying AI voice enhancement, and reversing it back, creating an effect which makes it sound both forwards and backwards at the same time. This is likely also the reason for the other voice samples, which sound like incoherent babbling, which is common of enhancement models when applied to things like sound effects or music instead of voices.
Samples / Lyrics
From an episode of the British television game show Blockbusters:
* Kathy: "Okay, I'll have a 'W' then please, Bob."
* Bob: "'W'. What 'W' was the name of Bob Marley's group?" (buzzer) "Wah ha ha ha ha! Everybody worked for it, Kathy got there"
* Kathy: "Waltzer."
* Bob: "Yes it is! Waltzer. Gosh you took a chance. Well done!" (bell) "And for those who don't know, that's the one that...people are spun round as it revolves. It's a waltzer. And you've got the choice."
* Kathy: "I'll have the 'M' please, Bob."
* Bob: "The 'M'. Yes, you may. What 'M' is a garden flower whose bright orange petals are u-- Yes, Sarah."
* Sarah: "Football"
* Bob:"That's it! That's perfect! You've done it! Terrific! Well done. Wowee, I was a little bit worried there. You did it, and here's the big prize, Kathy. Take a look at this; you're gonna love it."

Trivia
* The episode it is from was partially edited for comedic effect. "Football" is not a garden flower and Waltzer is not Bob Marley's group. And usually someone who wins a prize on Blockbusters do so with the Gold Run which does not require the press of a button.
* The game show is notable for its game board composed of hexagons.
* The name of Bob Marley's group is the Wailers.
* The flower with bright orange petals is likely a Marigold.
* This is the UK version of Blockbusters hosted by Bob Holness between 1983 and 1993 with some seasons after '93 but they were not on ITV
The real typeface you want is ITC Avant Garde Bold. You'll need to kern it closely. Avant Garde Bold is a classic design typeface, one you'll see crop up over and over if you develop an eye for it. It was particularly prevalent in the mid to late 1970's, an era which Boards of Canada has referenced over and over in its design language, and recently got a large boost in popularity when the Rock Band series of video games started using it heavily. The Avant Garde Alternate glyphs show up a lot, too, though they tend to be abused a bit - I haven't seen Boards of Canada use them. Avant Garde shows up a lot in designs of related genres and record labels because it is such an iconic, no-nonsense typeface without a lot of the humanism that Helvetica brings to the table.
Other BoC-related typefaces:
* Music Has the Right to Children: ITC Bauhaus
* Geogaddi: VAG Rounded
* The Campfire Headphase: Strasua Regular (free), which definitely gets some style cues from Avant Garde Alternate.
* Trans Canada Highway: Title: Custom, the closest you can get to it easily is probably Neo Sans Ultra. Subtitle: Avant Garde.
* Hi Scores: OCR A Extended (built into Windows and Mac)
* Twoism: Artist, album and track titles are handwritten. On the original 1995 version, the font used for the credits is Gill Sans (built into Windows).
* Boc Maxima: On the cassette edition, likely Helvetica (built into macOS), stretched slightly. On the CD edition, Eurostile (paid).

Zebramatic POW is a distressed typeface - the stripey business is part of it, hence the name. Zebramatic POW. It's just ITC Avant Garde Bold with some cheap distress effects.
