Background
*A Few Old Tunes seems to be sourced from a cassette tape containing a (presumably) hand-selected set of pre-Maxima tracks. The leaking of these tracks to p2p networks (Soulseek, originally) provided much drama on WATMM.
* Commonly referred to as A Few Old Tunes, due to its label; however, according the Twoism forum user dealer, who posted new photos of the cassette and liner notes, it is also the true Old Tunes Vol. 1 (and not the tape previously assumed to be OTV1). But, on the other hand, the WATMM forum user phalam posted new scans from a different angle which depict A Few Old Tunes as the cover and the cassette label. This leads to believe Boards of Canada used two different labelings for the very same cassette. See the two conflicting scans below.

Availability
* As of April 29th, 2009, YouTube user TEKM0SIS has leaked various tracks from A_Few_Old_Tunes and Old Tunes on his channel.

Cover
* According to KToiBalToi: "the girl on the cover of "a few old tunes" is Louise Campbell, the younger sister of (Peter) Iain Campbell who has worked with them on other art projects. I think it was taken as a still from an old family video."
** The image is also used on the cover of Hi Scores

Samples/Lyrics
*A sample from a porn movie in P:C:.
*Large chunks of the Colonel Abrams song "Trapped" in "Trapped (version)".
*A sample from an advertisement for a cleaning product in Devil.
*A sample from the British game show Blockbusters in the song of the same name.
*"The Way You Show" contains a loop sampled from "Celebration" by Kool & the Gang.
