I'm told that the sample is probably from a tense scene in which the boy and Willis end up in a crowded lift with their pursuer, eyeing each other warily, while the boy reads out the floor numbers in an emotionally detached way. (Not confirmed).
  • [Brian Palan] mentioned that the voice reading numbers in "Gyroscope" on Geogaddi isn't from the film Mercury Rising but that it's taken from a recording on the Conet Project boxed set. The Conet Project documents "numbers stations" which are found all along the shortwave radio spectrum.
