Comments

  • "White Cyclosa" is highly reminiscent of, and possibly a homage to, music from the film Day of the Dead (1985). Suggested comparison - the opening sequence of "The Dead Suite" on the soundtrack album, credited to John Harrison.

Samples / Lyrics

  • The sound of a large helicopter's blades whirring plays throughout most of the track.

Trivia

  • Cyclosa is a species of spider that spins its silk into life-size decoys of itself to aid in hunting prey. [1]
    • Cyclosa in that it emphasizes "DECOY" which contains the word "ECO."
      • Mary Daly was a radfem that called transgender people victims in a "Frankenstein phenomenon" (Daly, Gyn/Ecology 1978)
        • "GYN/ECOLOGY" splits 3/10th of the way through the word, about where the soundtrack of "Day of the Dead" merges with WC.
          • Playing "A Beautiful Place Out in the Country" at 33rpm, then slowed down -6.66% might reveal the phrase "We're reading fascists!" [2:21]. Mary Daly adopted a labrys, a double headed axe, as her symbol. IABPOITC album artwork contains a "Bleeding Rainbows Shaved Homer" reference.[2]
            • The first four songs contain no vocal samples, providing a thematic complement to the four-tracked IABPOITC at 45->33rpm, -6.66% and reversed.
