Sheol Boundary is a YouTube channel allegedly owned by Boards of Canada.
From 2013 to 2022, Uuh was the only video uploaded to the parody channel.
It was wiped along with many other BoC-related social media accounts on November 22, 2022.[1]
On November 16, the channel was reactivated. It featured the same Pioneer banner and Whitney Houston profile picture.[2]
The first video is a backup uploaded by winterbird. This video was originally uploaded by Sheol Boundary and subsequently deleted.
The second video is the original 2013 video by egbdf that Sheol Boundary used as a basis for creating the parody video.[3]
On 30 September 2013, a video was posted in the comments of Neptuneful's YouTube channel. The 'Uuh' video was a parody of "Boards of Canada, recurrent melodic fragment explanation" by Twoism user egbdf.[4]
The original video explained one of BoC's chord motifs. The parody video replaced the piano notes with several different audio samples. The Sheol Boundary account had a modified, inverted-color Whitney Houston image as its profile picture. The parody video was quite well done, mimicking the original video exactly including wrong notes, and appears to use a sample of the "Red Moss" synth that would be really hard to recreate unless you had the exact patch.
