Somewhere Right Now In The Future

A deliberately paradoxical phrase: "right now" and "in the future" collapsed into a single moment. In Christian, Hindu and Buddhist theology, God is often characterised as seeing all times simultaneously (the doctrine of divine eternity; in scholastic Latin, the nunc stans — the "standing now").
Pairs with "You Retreat In Time And Space" and "I Saw Through Platonia" as the album's trio of time-transcendence titles — all three dismantling the listener's ordinary sense of duration.
Adjacent to the eschatological tradition: the Christian "Kingdom already, and not yet" — the future is already happening somewhere.

-* A characteristic [[Boards of Canada|BoC]] temporal knot — the "right now" of a future that is simultaneously somewhere already happening. Thematically adjacent to "[[You Retreat In Time And Space]]" on the same album.
