* The title may be a reference (like "[[The Beach At Redpoint]]") to a real place in Scotland; "Buckie High" (now Buckie Community High School) was the name of the high school that the band attended. Buckie is a small fishing town in the county of Moray. Scottish schools are like their American Counterparts known as High Schools (Secondary in England). Coincidentally, there is a café near Buckie High School called Sandisons.<ref>https://www.facebook.com/Sandisons/</ref>

The song is a reference to Buckfast, or "Buckie", a tonic wine infamous in Scotland for its potency and extremely high caffeine content.  High of course being a refrence to being intoxicated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckfast_Tonic_Wine

The other possiblity of this track would be that its actually a place reference (like "The Beach At Repoint"). They both grew up in North East Scotland. In the county of Moray is the the small fishing town of Buckie. Scottish schools are like their American Counterparts known as High Schools (Secondary in England). It's a possiblity that they or friends/relatives may have attended this school influencing the title. Another nostalgia for their childhood?
