Comments[edit]
- The ending of the track is highly reminiscent of the ending of "Collapse" from Tomorrow's Harvest.
- The title of the track may be a reference to a monster from Greek mythology "the Minotaur", which is said to have been held in a place known as The Labyrinth and was killed by the hero Theseus, the monster also makes a brief appearance in "Dante’s Inferno" which Inferno gets its name from, where it is encountered first among the "men of blood" who are punished for their violent behaviour.
- The beat during the intro of the track resembles a heart beat, in a similar fashion to "I Saw Through Platonia" later on the album.
Samples / Lyrics[edit]
- From 2:10, interviews with rehabilitated PCP (angel dust) addicts from the 1979 anti-drug documentary "Angel Death".[1]
Uh, quite often, quite often, I found, I found myself being, uh, pretty violent
Don't get it out of you, you just wanna fight
Just the least thing would really set me off
I don't know why, but we got in a fight, we were throwing lamps
I got out of the swimming pool and I watched her
Even when she was at the bottom
I said, "Oh, we're bad, now we're doing something," you know, and I—
When I finally did dive in and get her, she was already dead
And, um, after that, I just ran off screaming
- Throughout the track, a sample of a choir can be heard
