Sheol Boundary is a YouTube channel allegedly owned by Boards of Canada.

From 2013 to 2022, Uuh was the only video uploaded to the parody channel.

It was wiped along with many other BoC-related social media accounts on November 22, 2022.^[1]

Videos

The first video is a backup uploaded by winterbird. This video was originally uploaded by Sheol Boundary and subsequently deleted.

The second video is the original 2013 video by egbdf that Sheol Boundary used as a basis for creating the parody video.^[2]

Comments

On 30 September 2013, a video was posted in the comments of Neptuneful's YouTube channel. The 'Uuh' video was a parody of "Boards of Canada, recurrent melodic fragment explanation" by Twoism user egbdf.^[3]

The original video explained one of BoC's chord motifs. The parody video replaced the piano notes with several different audio samples. The Sheol Boundary account had a modified, inverted-color Whitney Houston image as its profile picture. The parody video was quite well done, mimicking the original video exactly including wrong notes, and appears to use a sample of the "Red Moss" synth that would be really hard to recreate unless you had the exact patch.

Trivia

• Metadata in the official Hell Interface Bandcamp community page banner (edited Pioneer Plaque) has the same exact date (September 30th 2013) as the YouTube channel creation date of Sheol Boundary / Uuh video.^[4]
• Sheol is to Hell as Boundary is to Interface.^[5]
• On April 5th 2021: Hell Interface's Facebook page's profile picture changes to an edited image of Whitney Houston with the image's colours inverted eyes blacked out and teeth darkened. Same image as used in 2013, but inverted to normal colours.^[6]
