The track's title is likely a reference to a quote from Autechre's Sean Booth when asked during a 2022 livestream whether he had any news on Boards of Canada: "They're probably in the future somewhere, worrying about why it isn't like the past".[1]
Samples / Lyrics
• Later into the track, at 1:32 the sound of screeching tires of a car skidding off of a road can be heard, later followed by a faint crashing sound at 1:41, this likely correlates to the accompanying art for “Inferno” which contains two photos a car.
