• Boards of Canada cite the films of the National Film Boards of Canada as a big influence on them when they were younger, musically, and in other ways. Perhaps this explains the love of and respect for nature that seems to come across in the music, and the interest in native American people and their way of life. For example, see the comments on Hooper Bay, Chinook, Pete Standing Alone and Kaini Industries in Music Has the Right to Children.
