"Kaini Industries" is the eighth track on Boards of Canada's debut studio album, Music Has the Right to Children.

[Simon Wilkinson] suggests that this might be a recording from a native American ceremony, including what sounds like someone with a drum - see also comments on "Pete Standing Alone".
In fact, the company was called "Kainai Industries" Ltd. It was located on the Blood Reserve. There was also a Kainai Cooperative Enterprises. "Kainai" means "many chiefs", and the Kainai are also known as the Blood Nation. More about this at [1] and [2]. [DC]

A possible source for the end sample may have been from the collection of Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, the same label of other samples found in Geogaddi (see: A Is To B As B Is To C, and From One Source All Things Depend). A strong candidate of the source is from the album: Music of the Jívaro of Ecuador (1972). The sample may be the combination of two tracks: Calling an Enemy's Arutam Soul (Log Signal Drum Solo) and Song of Kungi, the Flute Bird (Flute Solo). They're both lowered in pitch and sliced/sampled.^[1] Here is a close representation:

As explained by Boards of Canada: Kaini Industries is a company that was set up in wikipedia:Canada (by coincidence in the month Mike was born), to create employment for a settlement of Cree Indians (Forcefield 1998).
