"Arbeit" may be a reference to "Arbeit macht frei", a German phrase that appeared at the entrance of several Nazi concentration camps.[1]
"Arbeit is a word of the German language which means "work" or "labour". Effectively making the title "North Sea Work". The band grew up in North East Scotland and this is most likely a reference to fishing and/or the North Sea oil industry.
