Samples / Lyrics

  • Throughout the track a looped vocal sample can be heard. This is taken from "Missa L'homme armĂ© sexti toni", a choral piece by Josquin des Prez originally published in 1502.[1] This sample was discovered by Twoism user personman. The sample is substantially pitched-up and the exact recording it is taken from is unclear.
  • 0:50 - Male voices:
"You can get a better hit than that."
    "Very beautiful."
"[indistinct] and lock the laser on the target, Aaron."
"Locking the laser on target. Target is no more."

Trivia

The synth starting about 33 seconds into the song may be inspired by background music from the 1985 TV show 'Misfits of Science'.[2]
