"Acts of magic" evokes Aleister Crowley's Magick (the "k" is his spelling to distinguish ceremonial from stage magic): "the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will." Places the album on the Western esoteric / ceremonial-magic axis alongside "The Process" (the Process Church) and "Into The Magic Land".
The brevity (1:18) suggests an interlude / invocation — a short ritual gesture between the Buddhist hell of "Naraka" and the Buddhist-bardo reading of "Memory Death".
In some magical traditions, "acts" is also a technical term for the stages of a ritual working (Thelemic, Golden Dawn).
