"Triangles and Rhombuses " is the fifth track on Boards of Canada 's debut studio album, Music Has the Right to Children .
The initial tune of "Triangles and Rhombuses " is notably detuned, with note pitches falling in between conventional "tuned" pitches.
The separate vignette at the end of the track, which it shares with "Basefree ", is believed to be a composition named "It's Too Orangey ", and also appears on Random 35 Tracks Tape .[1 ]
Worth noting that when a triangle & a rhombus are placed adjacent they create a five-sided polygon, making it significant that this is track 5. This trend is of course followed on track six, ‘(Six)tyten’. [JayeBirdDown]
Samples / Lyrics [ edit ]
The drum loop that can be heard throughout the song is sampled from the 1982 song “Length of Time” by Stephen Mallinder [2 ] .
