The Sexual Objects are a Scottish rock band led by Davy Henderson, known for his work with The Fire Engines and Necatrine No. 9. Formed in the mid-2000s, the band includes members Simon Smeeton (Guitaer, backing vocals), Graham Wann (Guitar, backing vocals), Douglas Macintyre (Bass / backing vocals), and Ian Holford (Drums / backing vocals).
Their sound blends glam rock, post-punk, and pop, drawing comparisons to T. Rex, Bowie, and Prince.
Their debut album Cucumber (2010) followed a series of sharp singles, including Here Come the Rubber Cops, produced by Boards of Canada. In 2015, they released Marshmallow as a one-off vinyl auctioned with full rights, treating the record as an art piece. That same year, the Cream Split Up! EP appeared, followed by a remix 10" of "Sometimes" in 2017, featuring Boards of Canada and Andrew Weatherall.
