Record Store Day
On April 29th 2013 all of Boards of Canada's websites were redirected to cosecha-transmisiones.com[1].
Boards of Canada posted the following video on their official Facebook.com page: Cosecha Signal One[2].
2025
"Nobody Home..."
On May 1st 2025 users on Twoism and r/boardsofcanada noticed that the content of the website had been updated. Based on available information from the Wayback Machine and fan observations, this change must have happened sometime between April 3rd and May 1st, although the exact timing is unclear.
The updated content is as follows:
nobody home... /// -. --- -... --- -.. -.-- / .... --- -- . .-.-.- .-.-.- .-.-.-
The morse code at the end translates to "nobody home...".[3]
Error 522 (Unresponsive Host)
On May 20th 2025 the site stopped working, returning only an error 522, indicating an unresponsive host. The significance of this, and whether it was even intentional, is unclear.
Error 403 (Not Authorised)
Some time after June 12, but before June 20 2025 the site was changed again; it now directs the user to a raw error 403 page which says "User is not authorised to perform this action".
Login Form
On the morning of August 1st the site changed again, showing a login form asking the user to enter a username and password. There is no indication of what the correct username or password might be, and this update most likely indicates work is being done on the site behind the scenes.
Return of Error 522 (Unresponsive Host)
On August 4th the login form disappeared, replaced with an error 522, indicating an unresponsive host.
Error 403 (Forbidden)
On August 5th the error 522 disappeared, replaced with an error 403 page which says "403 Forbidden".
Return of Error 403 (Not Authorised)
On August 12th the error 403 disappeared, replaced with an error403 page which says "User is not authorised to perform this action".
Laravel
On August 28th the site changed again, showing a default Laravel installation page.
YouTube Redirect
On August 29th, the site was updated again to redirect to the YouTube video Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest Transmission (new album June 10/11)
