Boc Remii Vol. 1 is a private CD-r compilation of remixes made by Boards of Canada. This was never listed in any official band discography, only becoming known publicly in 2017 due to someone who received it as a Christmas gift from the band cataloguing their collection on Discogs.^[1]^[2] While no known rip of it exists, all songs on it have been released elsewhere in some form.

Trivia

For some reason, the versions of Surfaise and Dirty Great Mable on this release seem to be vinyl rips done by the band of their own music.

Poppy Seed (Reprise) has a very slightly longer fade in at the start and is very compressed compared to the retail release.

Other tracks seem to be identical to their retail release or are only phase inverted (which is typical of their CD-r albums, as their burner seemingly inverted the phase of and inserted large gaps between tracks - this also explains the longer track lengths here.)

Despite it being copyrighted for 1999, electricluddite (the submitter of the release to Discogs) claimed to have received it before Christmas 1998.^[3] However, analysis of the discs used by the band since has shown that all the CD-r releases we have pictures of physical copies of were burned onto discs manufactured in 1999.

The liner notes list "Mira Calix - Sandsings (Boards of Canada Mix)" as being made in 1997 while it was publicly released in 1998, and both "Slag Boom Van Loon - Poppy Seed (Boards of Canada Mix)" and "Slag Boom Van Loon - Poppy Seed (reprise)" are listed as being made in 1999, significantly before their public release in 2001.
